Thank you to the Committee for organising such a well run show. The quality of the the dogs was very good, making my decisions more difficult in a good way. Nice atmosphere plus friendly sportsmanship prevailed.

1st – Beaconpike Caleus (Mr S & Mrs K Golding) Smart eye catching pup. Good head proportions with a strong muzzle. Correct shoulders, straight front and tight feet, well turned stifle with correct tail set. Excellent coat texture & thick pelt . Strode out well keeping a firm topline, good forward reach . Looked well stacked. BEST PUPPY IN SHOW
2nd – Thornheswin Hellfire In Borderfox (Arianna & Emma Dixon) Showed well for his handler. Best of heads with strong muzzle, straight front tight feet, good harsh jacket thick pelt, correct topline and tail carried well on the move. Strode out well moving soundly.
3rd – Cocklathorns South (Mr J & Mrs M Geddes)

1st – Billy Boy Mayhem (Chris Foreman & Laura Kennan) Mature boy, looked the part stacked and didn’t disappoint on the move. Good head and teeth, excellent coat texture and thick pelt, good topline and short tail, moved steadily.
2nd – Cocklathorns South (Mr J & Mrs M Geddes) Classic border head, stood better than in last class, good harsh coat & thick pelt carrying a bit of weight. First time out for pup and handler so both a little nervous.

Harsh jacket and thick pelt, looked a picture stacked everything in moderation. Covered the ground well with a free flowing action when viewed in profile. BEST DOG.BEST IN SHOW.

2nd – Ragatam Dalwhinnie (Miss T Peacock) Another promising puppy, well put together, good length of neck into well set shoulders. Good length of rib, narrow throughout, easily spanned, good texture to coat with thick pelt. Moved well.

2nd – Stineval Sasha (Mr A & Mrs C Horner) Pushed hard close up, no doubt will change places many times. Presents an overall balanced picture, appealing otter head and keen eye. Excellent harsh coat and thick pelt, good topline which she held on the move. Finished off with thick carrot tail.

I was honoured to receive this appointment and am incredibly grateful to the exhibitors who gave me such a great entry. It was a most enjoyable day and special thanks go to my Stewards, Andrea Pitt and Mark Atkinson, for keeping me on track and helping the ring to run smoothly.

1st – Tyneotter Bolt from the Blue (Mrs N Anderson) Strong 8 month old blue and tan. Up to size but easily spanned with a good length of rib. Good head with big teeth, correct bite, strong jaw and nice length of muzzle. He has a super pelt and correct coat with evidence of ticking coming through. He moved well which won him the class.
2nd – Achnagairn Line of Duty (Mr C & Mrs J Johnson) 6 month old grizzle and tan. Another with a good strong head, nice length of muzzle and lovely teeth. Easily spanned with a nice topline leading to a good tail set and length. Good thick double coat. He moved confidently however front movement was occasionally a little erratic.

1st – Dassett Igglepiggle (Mrs S Spafford) 11 month old grizzle and tan. A beautifully balanced and proportioned dog he presents so well. He has a lovely head with a typical dark eye and keen expression. His muzzle is a good length and he has a correct bite with lovely strong teeth. Very nice length of neck leading to well laid shoulders and strong forelegs with well padded feet. Good depth of chest however easily spannable and a good length of rib. Strong loin and well muscled, but racy, hindquarters. My notes recorded movement as spot on, which it was! Great drive and reach with a lovely topline on the move. He had a good loose pelt and nice tight double coat. BPD, RBD.
2nd – Chorbeck Curtain Call (Mrs H Haughton) 11month old grizzle and tan. Another really nice puppy. A little smaller than 1st he has a good masculine head with lovely strong muzzle, nice dark eye and correct ear set. Nice straight front with good shoulders, easily spannable and good length of rib. Slightly shorter coupled than 1 he has a good topline and tailset. Lovely double coat and pliable pelt . His movement was slightly loose in front and today I just preferred the fluency of 1.

1st – Hightarn Nightfall At Roseghyll (Mrs A Johnson) 17 month blue and tan. Strong dog, up to size however easily spanned. Typical head, short strong muzzle with correct bite and nice dark eye. Good neck and shoulders, nice length of rib and strong loin. He is well muscled at the rear and moved freely on good feet with plenty of drive. Great coat with good ticking and a loose pliable pelt.
2nd – Akenside Isosceles (Mrs L Gosling) 14 month Grizzle and Tan. Slightly smaller set than 1. Beautiful strong masculine head with lovely dark eye and keen expression, great proportions and strong jaw with super teeth and bite. Very good front assembly, easily spanned and good length of rib. Shorter coupled than 1, well muscled, but racy, hindquarters and lovely set and length of tail. Good double coat and thick pelt. He moved soundly enough however today I just preferred the freedom of movement of 1.

Big teeth in a strong jaw finish the picture. He has a nice straight front into strong legs and good feet. Narrow throughout he is easily spannable and has good length of rib. Good angulation both front and rear gives him sound well balanced movement. Nice coat and a thick pelt.
2nd – Kentixen Mint Imperial At Roseghyll (Mrs A Johnson) Grizzle Heavier in frame than 1. He has a nice dark eye and strong jaw, slightly longer muzzle but with good teeth and correct bite. Good front angulation and well cushioned feet. He is spannable and has a strong loin. He moved soundly and held his topline on the move. Good coat with a nice thick pelt.
3rd – Ravenside Run To Me At Sandyfaulds (Mr G Grassie)

1st – Beaconpike Dionysus (Mr S & Mrs K Golding) Grizzle and Tan. A very smart dog. He has a good head with a strong jaw and big teeth, nice short strong muzzle and neat ears. A nice length of neck leads into good shoulders and a lovely straight front. There’s a good length of rib and he is easily spannable and narrow throughout. He has good rear angulation which gives him great drive when moving out. He has a good double coat and thick pelt.
2nd – Stineval Lambert JW (Mr A & Mrs C Horner) Grizzle and Tan. Another really good dog. He has a nicely proportioned head with a lovely keen expression. Again, a good strong jaw and good teeth. Nice front with good legs and neat well cushioned feet. He has good rib and is easily spannable and has a strong loin. He has a lovely coat and pelt and moved well. A close decision between these two however today I just preferred the front and movement of 1.

1st – Cedarhill Dish Of The Day For Dexlin (Mr B & Mrs L P Inness) Grizzle and Tan. A lovely headed dog with all the right proportions. He has a short strong muzzle, a moderately broad head, correct bite, dark eye, keen expression and correct ears. Front angulation shows good layback of shoulder leading into straight forelegs and neat feet. He has good length of rib and depth of chest and is easily spannable. He is narrow throughout with a strong loin and muscular yet racy hindquarters with good angulation. Not in full coat today however plenty there to see on a lovely pelt. Good tail set and carriage whilst moving freely on a good stride finishes the picture. BD, BIS.
2nd – The Joker Let’s Rock and Roll to Fevstone (Mrs D Bullen) Grizzle and Tan. Lovely masculine headed dog. Strong jaw and correct dentition, slightly longer muzzle than 1. Nice dark eye and expression, good ear set. He has a good front assembly with well angled shoulders and strong legs. His ribs are carried well back and he is easily spanned, has a strong loin and well angulated and muscled quarters. His tail set and carriage are good and he was in great coat. Moved soundly. On the day I just preferred the head and overall movement of 1. He was a strong challenger for RBD.

1st – Fenrirs Kindra at Cromlechs (Miss K Hamilton) 8 month old grizzle and tan. Lovely feminine head with good short strong muzzle and dark eye. Good shoulders and front with nice depth of chest and length of rib, easily spanned. She has a lovely topline which she held well on the move. Strong quarters with a correct tailset and carriage and with good double coat and pliable pelt.
2nd – Otterbobs Beatrix (Mr J R & Mrs H Gilpin) 6 month old Grizzle and Tan. Nice head, strong jaw with good teeth and keen expression. Good shoulder angulation and length of rib, as yet not quite as deep in chest as 1, easily spannable. Moved well but not quite as fluently as 1. Good coat and pelt. Today I just preferred the movement of 1 however I’m looking forward to seeing her progress as she matures.

Feminine head with good teeth and correct bite, strong muzzle, nice eye and expression. Good narrow front, straight legs and well cushioned feet. Ribbed well back and easily spanned. She has a good topline, which she held well on the move, and correct tailset and carriage. Lovely double coat and good pelt. Nice racy quarters providing power on the move which is what won her BPB and BPIS over her brother.
2nd – Blaisdon Mekya Mindup Mavis At Fevstone (Mrs D Bullen) 10 month old Blue and Tan. Good head with short strong muzzle and strong jaw, neat well placed ears. Nice front, slightly wider than 1, strong well boned legs and neat feet. Good length of rib and easily spannable. Strong loin. She has a nice topline when standing and good coat, which shows ticking, on a thick pelt. Her topline was not quite held when she was moving.

A lovely young bitch with a well proportioned feminine head, keen expression, nice neat ears, good dentition and a strong jaw. She has a good neck leading into a well angulated shoulder and narrow front with straight legs with neat tight feet. Good length of rib, easily spanned, strong loin and narrow throughout. Nice tailset and carriage, she moved easily with good reach and drive. She has a thick pelt and very good ticked coat. BB; BOS; RBIS.

She has a strong neck and nice shoulder, slightly deeper in chest than 1 she is also slightly wider in front however still easily spannable. She has a nice topline, which she held well on the move, and good tail carriage. Nice double coat, however lacked ticking, good thick pelt. Moved steadily in the class, I just preferred the movement and coat of 1 today.

Nice front and rib, good depth of chest, easily spanned, shorter coupled than the two ahead of her in puppy bitch. She has a good coat with a nice thick pliable pelt. She moved steadily and well with good tail carriage, holding her topline.
2nd – Karison Kampari (Miss K Johnson) 8 month old Grizzle and Tan. Very feminine head on this still raw puppy. Nice short strong muzzle, lovely expression and neat well placed ears. Good length of neck and well angulated shoulders, good straight legs and neat feet. Good length of rib, and depth of chest easily spanned, narrow throughout. Good tailset and nice topline. Lovely loose pelt and good coat. She was a little unsettled on the move and her front movement needs to tighten up, which I’m sure it will. Looking forward to seeing her mature.

1st – Normbar Maggie May (Mrs N Ellis) 12 month old Grizzle and Tan. Nice strong good sized bitch shown in full coat. Good head, big teeth, dark eye and keen expression. She has a good length of neck which leads into very good shoulders and a nice narrow front. Good length of rib and depth of chest, spanned easily. Good body length with a strong loin and racy quarters. Nice topline with good tailset. She has a good double coat and nice thick pelt. Was more settled in this class than in Junior and moved very much better both coming and going.
2nd – Carrickfarm Myra (Mrs M Armstrong) 18 month old Grizzle and Tan. Very feminine bitch on a lighter frame than 1. Good head with short muzzle, nice dark eye and good ear set. She has a good front with nice legs and lovely tight cushioned feet. Ribs are carried well back and she is spanned easily. Nice racy quarters with good muscle and tail set. Good thick tail, nice tight coat and plenty of pelt. Just preferred the slightly deeper chest and steadier topline on the move of 1 today.

1st – Mysulan Rhapsody In Blue (Mrs S J Baxter) Workmanlike feminine bitch. She has a strong head with a correct bite, good muzzle, dark eye, keen expression and well set ears. Straight narrow front with good length of rib – easy to span. She has a good level topline which she retained on the move, nicely muscled quarters and a moderately short tail set and carried correctly. Thick coat with some ticking and good pelt. She strode out well on the move, once or twice a little close in front, however overall very sound movement.
2nd – Karison Kadbury (Miss K Johnson) Grizzle and Tan. Nice head with a strong jaw and muzzle, good dentition, dark eye and neat ears. Slightly shorter coupled and deeper chested than 1 she had nice shoulder, length of rib and was easily spanned. Good topline and a strong loin, good tailset and a happy tail that never stopped moving. Nice tight double coat and a good thick loose pelt. Moved well, just preferred the overall size of 1.

1st – Picer Bess Pool (Mr G & Mrs S Pickering) Grizzle and Tan. Strong feminine head with good dentition, nice dark eye and neat ears. She has a nice lay of shoulder into a good straight front, good depth of chest and good feet. Ribs are carried well back and she is easily spanned. Strong loin and well muscled quarters, good angulation. She has good topline and nice shape and length of tail. She moved soundly both coming and going. A nice coat developing, good loose and pliable pelt.
2nd – Foxwater Destiny Angel at Chorbeck (Mrs H Haughton) Grizzle and Tan. Slightly longer coupled than 1 she has a good head with correct bite, strong muzzle, and moderate width. Slightly wider in front than 1 she has good length of rib and is spannable. Nice feet on well boned legs, she moved soundly and carries her tail well. Not in full coat today however texture coming through, good pelt.

Good front assembly, nice and narrow, strong legs and tight feet. Good shoulder and well carried back rib with good depth of chest. Easily spanned, she has enough body length with strong loin and nice topline. Racy muscled well angulated quarters with a correct tail set complete the picture. Coat coming through, pelt OK. Moved very soundly coming and going – I’m sure she could go all day! RBB.
2nd – Smalesmouth Cadence (Mrs J Roberts) Grizzle and Tan. Another nice feminine head with good teeth and correct bite, strong jaw. Slightly longer in muzzle than 1. Nice dark eyes and keen expression. Good neck leading into a good lay of shoulder. Nice straight front and neat padded feet. Ribbed well back and narrow throughout she is easily spanned and has a nice topline, tailset is slightly lower than 1. Good racy quarters, she moved well both ways. Nice coat and good pelt. A very close decision between these two, just preferred the overall picture of 1 today.

1st – Beaconpike Adonis (Miss J Strother) 14 month old dog. Grizzle and Tan. Nice headed young dog. Good teeth and nice dark eye. Good length of neck into well angulated shoulders. He lacks a bit of depth in chest however this may change with maturity. Nice straight front legs and good feet. Good rib and loin, easily spannable and narrow right through. Racy hindquarters, he has a nice shaped tail which he carries well on the move. His movement was a little erratic today however he went better in this class than in his previous ones. Nice coat and pelt, well presented.

Good length of neck into correct shoulder and straight, narrow front with good depth of chest. She is well ribbed back and narrow throughout, easy to span. Great body length and level topline with correct tail set, good length and carriage. Racy quarters and correct rear angulation and good muscle tone power her movement which today was easy and fluent. She had a good tight coat and plenty of loose pelt. BVIS.
2nd – Mysulan Going Solo JW (Mrs S J Baxter) 7 years 9 months Blue and Tan. Strong masculine head, nice short muzzle, good teeth, dark eye and good ear placement. Narrow all through with well carried rib and strong loin. Good depth of chest is easily spanned and stands on good cushioned feet. He has a nice level topline and a thick pliable pelt and good coat. Racy well-muscled quarters and good rear angulation. He moved soundly and maintained his topline well. Just preferred the fluency of 1 today.
